The UV portion of this filter features a 9 watt bulb in a glass sleeve. As the pump (not included) circulates water through the filter the
combination of UV exposure, Bio-logical and mechanical filtration produces clean clear water.
The BIO-FILTER TANK may be placed hidden or in plain view of your garden and may be partially buried. For best results, do not place
the TANK at the highest level from your pond. DO NOT PLACE IN THE POND! Only the INLET hose will be placed in the water. The
tank, the Discharge and its attached hose may be partially buried, leaving a minimum of 1” below the clamp exposed (See Figure A).
STEP 1
Place LIGHT HOUSING into LID
by pushing until parts meet.
STEP 2
Install the replaceable 9 Watt BULB into
connector. The BULB snaps into place.
STEP 3
Install LIGHT CAP onto LID by turning
Clockwise. Give an extra twist at the end
to make sure the light is secure within the
cavity.
WARNING!
Do not look directly at UV lamp. To
prevent possible fire or electrical
shock, use lamp rated 9 watts or
less, ultraviolet type C.
STEP 4
Place the O-RING around the top lip
of the TANK. Align the top inlet with
the tank discharge and secure the
top to the tank with the clamp and
screw.
CAUTION!
Always check for leaks at o-ring after
pump is on to ensure lid and clamp
are tight enough
FREEZE WARNING!
If the BIO-FILTER TANK is partially
buried, drain the tank’s water during
the winter or freezing temperatures.
Do not run your filter during this time.
When the ground has thawed, your
BIO-FILTER may be utilized again.
